Wallet Find!

Yesterday I went to a parking lot sale put on by The Women's Assistance League in San Pedro where I live. In addition to a number of cool and inexpensive items I picked up were these 3 wallets. You can recognize right away I found what looks to be a real Chanel wallet in very good condition (that's a keeper), and two made from animal skin. The red one is clearly marked "Pin Stripe Goat". It's the brown one I'm going to have to research a little more. It looks to be alligator skin, and the gold insert and side tips appear to be stamped 18k with no other label of any kind. These two wallets also look to have been used little if at all. Going to list the red wallet on Etsy today, but have no idea what the brown one is worth.

If you have any info on the wallet in question I would appreciate your help :)

Something For Everyone!

I'm a new renter at Craft-Tique in San Pedro. Each renter fills their space with craft items and their own particular finds, mine are mainly from garage and yard sales. Everyday you can walk in and find something different. Though I'm a seller there now, most days I walk out with one or two goodies myself.

I took a picture of one customers purchases for the day totaling $12.90 - a terra cotta bird bath or feeder(I'm not sure), a ceramic bird feeder and a small glass and metal display case.

Here's the purchases I made at Craft-Tique on my last two visits.

Different taste for sure and probably bought with a different purpose in mind(the 50's candle holders and prints are already listed in my Etsy shop)but we both walked out happy with our purchases. The small plate or ashtray is a souvenir from the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. I'm not sure where or even if I'll list it, as it has some damage to one side, but I couldn't pass it up for $1.50!

Craft-Tique is in San Pedro,Ca. near the corner of 19th and Pacific Avenue. Drop by if your in the neighborhood, and very likely you'll find something that you will want to take home and If I'm lucky - maybe you'll find it in my space :D

Bottles....Well Wheaton Bottles To Be Exact

Since I opened my shop on Etsy in May of 2010, I have sold a number of Wheaton Bottles....26 to be exact, in all shapes and in several sizes. I had never come across them in the past, that I can remember, but started looking out for them after my husband brought several home that he found sitting near a trash can at a work site of his. This was about the same time I was looking for things to sell in my Etsy shop. I did a little research and sure enough, these were bottles that people collect.

The bottles you see here are ones I still haven't let go of. Wheaton bottles come in a variety of colors, but you can probably tell I have a thing for the red ones. I have kept those, and the small ball and claw ones you see in different colors (I'm still on the hunt for amber). I will most likely sell the red ones, but the ball and claws, I think not. The blue coffin skull and crossbones shaped bottle just sold, and one of the green ones is listed at the shop.

Look out for Wheaton bottles to sell or to collect. I have sold them for as little as $12.00 for three, and as much as $30.00 for one of the coffin shaped skull and crossbones. I have seen these go for more on Ebay when someone just has to have that particular one. Make sure to check for the markings on the front and on the bottom of the bottles. There are similar bottles you may come across marked "Made In Taiwan" that are not as valuable to buyers.

Three For Me

It's been over a year of visiting thift stores, yard and estate sales to fill my Etsy shop and now a little space I have in town. I've come across a lot of goodies I would have wanted to keep, but I really wanted to focus on listing and selling.

Check out what I did keep. My new goals are going to include some shopping for myself, I think I deserve it, don't you ?
